• Low-Pressure Misting Systems
    The systems operate between 40 and 100 psi of water pressure. The variance in pressure is because they operate on your household water pressure and not a pump. Normally built with PVC or poly plastic tubing and are connected to a water hose. Typically found on outdoor patios and the misting will get you wet but cool if you are standing nearby.
    Mid-Pressure Misting Systems
    The systems operates between 100 and 250 psi of water pressure. A Mid-Pressure Pump is utilized to increase the pressure of the water flow. It is perfectly suited for backyard and patio misting. High Pressure Misting Systems
    The systems operate between 800 and 1200 psi (pounds per square inch) of water pressure. The systems will work very effectively in both low and high levels of humidity. Even when the humidity exceeds 90%, the effects of the system will be felt with the rapid drop in temperature and make you feel cool and more comfortable. High Pressure Systems create the most BTU's, because the systems produce smaller MIST and creating more cooling evaporation.
    As the micron water droplets flash evaporate they pick up heat from the air, which significantly drops the temperature between 25 and 35 degrees Fahrenheit, without making you wet.

  • Yes. The evaporative cooling concept will work any time you are able to achieve evaporation. The more complete the evaporation, the more effective the system will work. For areas with humidity above 80%, temperature reductions will be as high as 10 degrees. For humidity levels between 40% and 80%, temperature reductions will be as high as 20 degrees. Below 40% humidity, the temperature reductions may be as much as 35 degrees

  • Most of our systems are expandable. You can expand any system to another part of the house or restaurant as long as you do not exceed the pump's nozzle capacity. For example, if you have a 20 nozzle system installed and your current pump has maximum nozzle capacity of 30. You can easily expand your mist system by additing additional 10 nozzles for the secondary area without affecting the pump performance.

  • No, this is not recommended and will damage the pumps. We do manufacture high flow pumps for projects that require large number of nozzles to be operated with single pump.

  • Yes, if the tubing, fitting and nozzles are high pressure rated (1500psi), you can run them with mid pressure pump. This allows you to upgrade the pump in future while keeping the mist line the same..

  • We recommend using our nozzle cleaner to clean the nozzles. It is proven effective to remove rust and scale. It is also FDA approved and environmentally friendly.

  • You can place our mist pump up to 200feet away before installing the 1st nozzle. This will not affect th pressure. All nozzles will spray exactly the same on our pump based systems.

  • Misting fan comes with wall mounting hardware.

  • You can stop the dripping by using our ANTI-DRIP or NON -DRIP nozzles. These nozzles are available for Mid and High Pressure systems only. Antidrip nozzles will give you "Instant -ON" and "Instant -OFF" effect.

  • Stainless steel nozzles and fittings are made with ALL stainless steel material. Brass Body and brass fittings have Nickel plated coating on them to help prevent rusting. Nickel plated nozzles and fittings are the next best thing to Stainless Steel and allows similar functionality without the higher cost of stainless steel. Our nickel plated nozzles and fittings have passed 100 hour salt misting test and are proven to last in harsh environments. I.e. coastal areas with high salt content in the air.

  • Nozzles will only need to be replaced when they stop misting. Clogging of the nozzles depends on the quality of the water and filter maintenance. Poor quality and lack of proper maintenance will clog the nozzles faster. We offer nozzle cleaning solution and 5 micron filters to increase the life of the nozzles. We also offer Scale Free Filteration that will prevent the nozzles from clogging due to hard water scale.

  • Filters should be replaced every 3-6 months on the misting system. If the pump requires oil, it should be changed every 500 hours of run time.

  • Misting lines should be winterized and pump should be stored indoors to provent freezing during winter months. All water should be drained from the lines, filter and pump.

  • Most of our systems are expandable. However, on low pressure systems, this depends on the overall pressure available from the water faucet and the total distance. We found that with standard city water pressure (40-60psi), you can run up to 25 nozzles with about 100ft of tubing before you will experience large pressure and flow reduction. All our patio kits are made based on extensive pressure and flow test results so that our customers can get the best cooling results.

  • This can be done with use of appropriate power inverter. These power inverters convert 12vdc power in to 110vac.

  • M Series nozzles are Stainless Steel where MW series nozzles have brass body. MW nozzles have wider spray angle and higher flow rate.

  • To produce the finest possible mist, we recommend use of 0.006'' or 0.008'' orifice nozzles with high pressure systems. Larger orifice nozzles can also be used if more volume is required. However, doing so may result in larger droplets.

  • Technical Questions
  • Cleaning Nozzles - Replace or clear obstructed or clogged nozzles.
    Nozzles may be cleared by scraping the stainless steel end with flat surface of a knife or screwdriver. To remove nozzle, turn in counter-clockwise direction. Nozzles may be routinely cleaned by soaking in solution of LIME AWAY!" or CLR overnight. Rinse thoroughly after soaking. Replace nozzle by turning in clockwise direction until snug.

  • Place mist line around the perimeter of the area to be cooled. This forms a mist curtain, a cooling barrier between the protected area and the outside heat. The mist line should be mounted 8' to 10' above the ground.

  • Our high pressure systems are with filters.
    For our low and med pressure systems you can use our Poly-Phosphate Filters. The unique Filters actually accomplishes two things. First, it will filter out any sediment from the water supply thereby preventing it from getting into the mist line and plugging the nozzles. Second, the filter contains phosphate crystals which are designed to surround the hard water deposits (calcium, sodium, and magnesium) and prevent them from adhering to the misting nozzle. This will also help eliminate the hard water buildup and will keep the mist system operating at peak performance for a longer period of time.

  • The only maintenance required for a properly designed misting system is a periodic cleaning of the nozzles and an annual check-up for the pump. This check-up may include adding or changing of the oil and tightening or replacing of fan belts (only on the pulley driven pump models), and changing of the filter cartridge. Misting Fan Systems require very little maintenance. We do recommend some preventative care and cleaning for the nozzles.

    This system is designed for optional installation flexibility and maximum number of nozzles at pressures up to 125 psi. Besides normal patio applications, this system works exceptionally well in greenhouse applications. *Normal house pressures range between 35 psi and 90 psi.

Each Model 924 and Model 624 High Efficiency Portable Cooler moves approximately 7500 cubic feet (230 cubic meters) of air per minute; this number can be greatly increased where positive pressure ventilation techniques can be employed. Generally speaking, to achieve maximum cooling in indoor or protected areas you will want to transfer the total volume of air in the space being cooled every 1 to 2 minutes.
The appropriate transfer time will depend on the space's insulation, how closed in it is (is it a warehouse or a canopy), prevailing humidity, acceptable humidity increase and the total temperature drop desired.

When cooling indoor areas, it is important to remember that you will need to take advantage of any natural flow of air. You can check for existing ventilation by turning on the mist without the fan on and watch where the mist goes. You will also need to determine your source of outside air and where your outlet for the air is. Very often the outlet will be a door or a window on the opposite side of the structure from the inlet air.

Example:
  • Factory 50' (15 m) length x 80' (25 m) width x 15' (4.7 m) ceilings
  • Totally enclosed structure with fairly good insulation
  • Complete air transfer every 2 minutes
Calculation of Volume
  • Length x Width x Ceiling Height
  • 50' x 80' x 15' = 60,000 cubic feet
Metric Example:
  • Factory 16 m x 25 m x 4.7 m = 1880 cubic meters (m)
Calculation of Fans Needed=Volume/(Fan VolumexTransfer Time)
  • 60,000 / (7500 cubic feet x 2 minutes) = 4 fans
  • 1880 / (230 cubic meters x 2 minutes) = 4 fans

Four fans will completely transfer the air in this structure every two minutes and should effectively cool this factory. The fans should be placed in the oscillation mode to spread the mist throughout the factory and should be pointed in a direction that keeps the air flow moving in the desired direction.

How Many Fans Do I Need?

The ability to cool outdoor areas depends on one major factor - the wind. With either light wind or no wind you can achieve some remarkable results depending on temperature and humidity . Normally speaking in outdoor areas it is advisable to use .012" nozzles. (The exception being areas with extremely highhumidity-60% and above.) Cooling outdoor areas is relatively straight forward and can be broken into 2 different types:

Athletic and Amusement Cooling

In this type of cooling, the people don't mind getting damp, and more often then not prefer to. Generally, fans are placed at head height, so people can stand directly in front of the fan.

Factories/Hospitality

When cooling a large area where the people don't want to notice the moisture. The fan(s) should be set at their highest level with the fan, aimed slightly above the horizon with the oscillation set to match the area being cooled. If possible place the fan 10-20' behind the area to be cooled. This will allow the cooled air to settle and keep the units sound from being bothersome.
